My parents have had this old buffet in their basement for as long as I
can remember. My dad used it to hold nails, screws and all of those
things that you just need to give a home! It's a guy thing...right?
In an effort to help my mom with getting my dad to clean up that side
of the basement, I offered to take the buffet of their hands (and saved
the buffet from going to the dump, Yikes!). My mother told my dad that I
wanted to have it for our house and the great guy that he is, he
immediately cleaned it out. Dads do that kind of thing when it's for one
of their daughters! My mom knew that...she is so smart!
So here is the finished product~ I think it turned out really nice even though my Iphone 3G didn't take the greatest photo. I had just brought it into the house and hadn't finished decorating for Christmas when I took this photo. I'll be taking another one...with my Nikon this time! Anyway, I love having this piece since it has been in our family for a very long time. My mother says she is now thinking she should have kept it! lol
